2011 - An Award Winning Tiger Encounter

We are delighted to announce that &Beyond Banjaar Tola Kanha Tented Camp has been included in the prestigious 2011 Andrew Harper Grand Awards. Travelling incognito and always paying his own way, Andrew visits some of the world’s most chic and luxurious hotels and hideaways, and publishes his experiences in his monthly upscale travel newsletter. For the annual Grand Awards, he selects his favourite properties visited over the past year; all possess exceptional character, a commitment to classic hospitality and a profound sense of place. Andrew’s experience at Banjaar Tola also earned a special mention under Indelible Memories of 2010, where he describes his Encounter with a Tiger.

2010 - The Best Lodge Naturalist of the Year

On 30 September, the winners of the inaugural Travel Operators for Tigers (TOFT) Wildlife Tourism Awards 2010 were revealed. We are thrilled to announce that former naturalist from &Beyond Mahua Kothi Jungle Safari Lodge, Kartikeya Singh Chauhan, was named the Best Lodge Naturalist of 2010. Kartikeya underwent &Beyond’s rigorous ranger training programme in central India and is an exceptionally gifted naturalist. These awards were created to honour companies and individuals that innovatively connect nature travellers with the ecotourism community in order to help save the tiger and its habitat. Congratulations Kartikeya, we are so proud of you.
