Jungle Wildlife and Desert Oases

Start anticipating your Indian adventure with a short summary of what you can expect each day to bring.
This adventure begins in Delhi and end in either Delhi or Mumbai.
Day 1 - 2: Delhi
On arrival at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport you will
be warmly welcomed by your &Beyond India host, who will drive you
to your hotel.
Spend two nights in a Heritage ensuite room at The Imperial. Unpack, settle in and relax, perhaps with an ayurvedic massage. The following morning, you will be taken on a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, once the grandest of all the markets in India. You will visit the beautiful and historic Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. Enjoy a delicious lunch before being driven through Delhi's former colonial splendour, passing the magnificent president's house, known as the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the World War I memorial of the India Gate and the Old Secretariat building. Visit the beautiful buildings of the Qutub Minar tower, once used as a minaret, and the World Heritage Site of Humayun’s Tomb, India's first garden-tomb.
Day 3: Agra
Early this morning you will take the Shatabdi train to Agra. On
arrival, you will be checked into your hotel.
Relax for the night in a suite at The Oberoi Amarvilas, just metres from the magnificent Taj Mahal.
In the late afternoon, when the light is ideal for photography, you will explore this famed monument to love. You will also visit the magnificent Agra Fort and admire the delicate beauty of the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah,
also known as the Baby Taj.
Day 4 - 7: Ranthambore National Park
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Bharatpur Railway (two-hour drive) to board the train to Sawai Madhopur. On arrival, you will be met and taken to your hotel.
The popular Ranthambore National Park boasts a small but visible population of tiger, as well as chital, nilgai, jungle cats, sambar, chinkara, wild boar and sloth bear. More than 300 bird species make their home in the reserve.
Indulge in four nights in a luxury air-conditioned tent at Aman-i-Khas. Morning and evening game drive explore the rich wildlife of Ranthambore.
Day 8 - 9: Jaipur
Enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast before you embark on a four-hour road trip en route to Jaipur. On arrival, you will be checked into your hotel.
Relax for two nights at the Rambagh Palace.
The following morning,
you will visit the white marble and red sandstone Amber Fort, followed
by lunch at Dera-Amber. In the afternoon, you will tour the decorative
City Palace, the Observatory Tower of the Jantar Mantar and the
delicately shuttered Hawa Mahaj. There's plenty of time to shop for some of Jaipur's famous wares later that evening.
Day 10 - 11: Chhatra Sagar
Today you will be driven to Chhatra Sagar, deep in rural Rajasthan.
Spend two nights in a tent set on a dam overlooking a lake at Chhatra Sagar. Enjoy scrumptious meals cooked by the ladies of the house using family recipes that have been passed down through generations. Explore the farm grounds, venture out on village walks to meet the locals or indulge in some birdwatching.
Day 12: Jodhpur
Another two-hour drive will take you to Jodhpur, where you will be checked into your hotel.
Relax for the night at the Umaid Bhawan Palace. That evening, you will enjoy an exclusive private tour of Mehrangarh Fort led by the curator, followed by drinks and dinner at the fort.
Day 13 - 14: Serai
This morning you will be driven to Serai, just 45kms (30 miles) outside Jaisalmer.
Indulge in two nights at The Serai.
Enjoy a camel safari, explore the rural countryside and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets. The following day you will take a day trip to the citadel city of Jaisalmer, dominated by its impressive fort.
Day 15: Departure
You will be driven back to Jodhpur, where you will board a flight to either Delhi or Mumbai, where your adventure with us will end.
