Everyone we met was extremely helpful and good at their role but we feel that the following deserve special mention. So in no particular order, please especially pass on our thanks to: Harsha at Kanha for being such a superb naturalist and guide as well as having a terrific sense of humour. A leopard, a tiger and a pack of wild dog all on one game drive has to be something of a record! Thanks to him also for helping to set us up with the best opportunity to get a tiger photo that we could have hoped for; Allvyn at Mahua Kothi for pulling it off and ensuring that our final sighting of a tiger was as good as it gets and for finding us two sloth bears! Brilliant!; Tony for his excellent driving and managing to weave his way through the chaos of India’s roads; Gaurav Dubey for his work during our visit to Agra and his professionalism - the smartest meeter and greeter on the station & in the hotel!; P K Pant for being such an excellent guide. We were so lucky to have spent some time with him. He gave us the best and most straightforward chronology of Indian history we have ever heard despite lots of reading of guide books and watching of TV shows about India. Two things stand out especially. First, the welcome and general attitude of the staff was so warm, excited and caring. I felt as if I had reached a fantasy home the minute I arrived. Second, I love having the company of naturalists at cocktails and dinners. They are superb company and this practice helps create a real sense of community. Bravo!

Manoj, our butler, was prefect. I remember Pravesh and his excellent, excellent home cooking. The service staff were the example of hospitality and helpfulness, and always so sweet to LUCA. I feel that every need, be it to see a tiger or rest for an afternoon, was perfectly understood and addressed with an easy, obliging hospitality. Thanks! It was a pleasure to be here. I felt at home, at ease and very well looked after. I especially enjoyed the team at MK not being all from a hospitality background. So much more REAL. Thanks to you all!
