Guest Stories

Tell us about your journey and your thoughts and impressions of India.
It is always a pleasure to receive feedback on how the &Beyond experience has touched our guests. For many of them, a life-long love affair with India's lush jungles and its incredible wildlife has started at one of our lodges across the subcontinent. Others have formed lasting friendships with the warm and welcoming &Beyonders they have met.
Here is just a sample of the incredible comments we have been receiving from our guests staying at Pashan Garh Panna Wilderness Lodge.
Guest - A real treat
"Pashan Garh was lovely and so different from Mahua Kothi. Ratna was a great fill-in as manageress. Accommodations were so beautiful and the ‘balays’ out on the terraces were just great for lounging and snoozing in great comfort! "
The open shower in the bathroom was exotic. Our first evening with the ‘cart dinner’ out doors in the small valley below the pool was amazing…there was a wonderful group of 8 there with us, and it was a lively fun gathering with such super food! The chef here was excellent too. Our naturalist driver Hada was an exceptional soul with whom we really felt close and comfortable---he was our real treat at Pashan Garh.
Guest - Every Detail....
"From the very original welcome, to the “see you soon again” good bye, our short stay at Pashan Garh was a great experience for both of us. It was filled with so many pleasant moments that we felt deluged by a constant stream of warmth, hospitality and goodwill. "
From the very original welcome, to the “see you soon again” good bye, our short stay at Pashan Garh was a great experience for both of us. It was filled with so many pleasant moments that we felt deluged by a constant stream of warmth, hospitality and goodwill. The thoughtful enquiries on our likes and dislikes, our interests and expectations were to set the standards for a very personalised touch that we were to come across time and again during our stay. Naturalists play a key role in forest lodges. Some, like Sajidh and Ratna, do it with greater flair and penchant than others - their vivacity was infectious. The nature treks in Sajidh’s company were not only interesting and informative but also great exercise to burn off all the extra calories from the tempting fare of the Pashan Garh kitchen. We were struck by the uniqueness of the design of your property: the location, the décor, the large bay windows, ceiling fans that reminded us the period films on Indo-China, the open shower, the wide open terrace and of course, the superb gazebo (Jaya’s favourite spot). The lantern lit main block against the clear star lit sky looked right out of a dream sequence from a Bollywood movie. Your efforts to have a largely self sustaining operation are laudable. The vegetable garden using a lot of innovative techniques and Balveer’s unbounded enthusiasm will contribute in no small measure to the fare from your kitchen. We are sure that you soon meet success in your efforts to strike an underground water source and that the lake will fill to the brim. A symphony orchestra that does not strike a single discordant note owes much to its conductor and the sweetness of the melody lies in his ability to bring out the best of each of the musicians, and this is what Arvind has been able to do at Pashan Garh. So our most sincere thanks to you, Arvind for making our short holiday such a lovely one.

Nicky and Tony Vanwijnsberghe Proost - Magnificent Spot
"Pashan Gar was a absolutely magnificent spot of an absolute beauty . It was the first time spending in a lodge where I almost enjoyed even more talking to a naturalist than going on a game drive . "
Ratna was a very special and interesting woman and we were very glad to have the opportunity to meet her ! We really like to thank you for the beautiful days spent in India and we definitely have back the good feeling about &Beyond ! Best regards Nicky and Tony Vanwijnsberghe Proost
