Named after the shrine to the goddess Nadesari situated in front of the building, the Nadesar Palace is set amidst verdant gardens, mango orchards, and fields filled with marigolds and jasmine. A haven of peace and tranquillity, the decor of the rooms is intended to evoke the colours of the floral tributes set afloat in the holy Ganges River. Works of art from the maharaja's private collection decorate the walls of the rooms and original pieces of furniture create the atmosphere of a bygone era. Drawing inspiration from the city, its culture and timeless tradition, each generous room features large windows overlooking the gardens, spacious bathrooms in cool, white marble and luxurious four poster beds.
Breakfast is served on the sun-kissed veranda, lunch may be in the perfectly proportioned dining room and barbeque dinners take place by the cool poolside. Guests can enjoy a round of golf of the green, take a guided nature walk in the palace grounds or enjoy a royal ride in a horse-drawn buggy belonging to the maharaja of Varanasi. Spiritual guidance is available from the resident astrologer, soothing treatments are provided at the Jiva spa and a variety of yoga classes calm body and mind.
